Complete the 2020 Family and Community Survey today!

Arlington Public Schools seeks feedback via a survey from families and community members about the district and its schools. Results from the 2020 Family and Community Survey will be used by schools in developing School Improvement Plans and help schools and the district improve communication with families and community members. The survey is available on the front page of the district website and here:

The survey will only take a few minutes to complete. Families with more than one child in the district should complete a survey for each child. The survey will be available through June 8.

If your child has had a major life event such as a death in the family, divorce, or a pressing need to speak with our school counselor, Mary Murray,
please feel free to email her at  She will work with you to find a time to talk with you and provide resources to your family.

If there is an emergency please call 911.  If you have a serious situation and you or your child need to talk to a counselor immediately please call Care Crisis Line at (425) 258-4357.  There are counselors there 24/7 every day of the year and it is a free service.

Arlington Public Schools will be holding kindergarten
registration on these dates at KP.

May 4th- 9 am-12pm 
May 7th- 1pm-6pm
May 11th- 9 am-12pm
May 14th- 1pm-3pm
May 18th- 9am-12pm
May 21st- 1pm-6pm

Our kindergarten teachers will meet you at the curb in the front of our school to collect your packet.  Packets are available now, April 27 from 9-12 and April 30 from 1-3, along with the listed registration dates.

Kindergarten students must be five years old by August 31st in order to register for school.  To register their child, parents need to bring their child’s immunization record, birth certificate and proof of residency in the Arlington District to their neighborhood school office. For proof of residency,a utility bill or first page or lease or purchase agreement work well.  You can also find the registration packet on the district web site so that you can fill it out in advance.  Welcome to Arlington Public Schools to the Class of 2033, and please spread the word to families you know who have upcoming kindergarten students.

          Safe Visitor Program

Arlington Public Schools is using a volunteer and visitor management system called SafeVisitor Solutions at Kent Prairie Elementary. This system is designed to strengthen safety and security in our schools and streamline the visitor registration sign-in process and volunteer approval process.

Also, be prepared to show a state-issued identification card, like a drivers license.
